BEKB | BCBE in Society

BEKB | BCBE’s objective is to preserve a healthy and strong bank for the regional economy with its decision-making centre in Berne. As a training bank and a bank for corporate clients we make a contribution towards securing the future within our living space.

We will secure the bank’s responsible corporate management and sustainable development through clear principles of corporate governance, a solid capital base with a reasonable return target (risk-free interest rate + 2 to 4 per cent) as well as a limited and long-term compensation model.

We have set ourselves a long-term financial goal: we aim to achieve free cash flow of CHF 800 million to 1 billion within ten years.

Through its development of innovative SMEs BEKB | BCBE is contributing towards the strengthening and development of our joint economic and living space. These companies will create the jobs of the future, provide training places for our children and generate the tax revenues of the future.

BEKB | BCBE works in conjunction with approx 700 suppliers and each year awards contracts totaling more than 100 million Swiss francs. Numerous small and medium sized enterprises within our local economic region benefit from this business.

BEKB | BCBE also has a commitment outside the company itself as a training bank. One example of this is the Summer Academy in the Zentrum Paul Klee. Its offering is aimed at highly qualified artists from all over the world who are looking for further training at a high level as part of a master class, as well as at the indigenous population.

The bank’s external commitment also includes activities as lecturers and experts on training committees.
